Paper tape measures - Information & shipping/carriage prices


Paper Quality:
152cm / 60 inch tapes are printed on 170 gsm matt coated paper and are packed in 250s
 76cm / 30 inch and 100 cm / 39 inch tapes are printed on 80 gsm uncoated bond paper and are packed in 500s

Tape measures are a paper product. Due to the effect of temperature and humidity on the paper it is possible that there could be
a size variation of up to +/- 0.002% over the full length

All tape measures are delivered flat (not folded).
We can not split packs
Tape measures may sometimes be curled up in bulk to fit them into the box used for shipping

Carriage/shipping charges for delivery to mainland UK vary by the quantity and size of tape measures ordered.

If you want to use a different delivery service please use the box on the first page of the shopping cart to tell us which one. The shopping cart will still work out the default price, but we will email you to confirm the amended price before the tape measures are dispatched.
Please note that your card payment is processed manually. Payment is not deducted from your card until the tapes are ready for dispatch.

Goods supplied to UK Education Authorities, Local Authorities, UK Government Organisations and NHS
can be supplied on account on receipt of an signed official order.
Payment by BACS is preferred and payment details are printed on the invoice.

Orders from other countries in the European Union (EU)

If you are registered for VAT in another EU member state and you supply us with a valid VAT registration number, we will not have to charge you VAT.
We still have to charge UK VAT for sales to individuals, or to companies that are not VAT registered.

Orders from countries outside the European Union (EU)

All prices are quoted in British pounds (Sterling), which is abbreviated GBP

We ship to anywhere. Prices for overseas delivery are calculated when we receive your order and we will email you with the details as soon as possible. Your credit card will not be charged until you have approved the shipping charges. Please note that air freight charges can be expensive and sometimes work out at more than the cost of the tape measures.
If you have your own Fedex/UPS or other shipping account, you may prefer to arrange to get the parcel picked up and charged to your own account. We are quite happy for you to do this, however if you do decide to use your own account there is a small charge of 3 GBP to cover the export documentation and handling.

If you are outside the EU and goods are being shipped to an address outside the EU, you will not be charged UK tax (VAT). Any local customs duty or taxes charged when the goods arrive in your country will have to be paid by you.

Please note that all payments are processed manually. Immediately after placing your order you will receive an automated response that may show that tax has been charged, however we will correct this and deduct the tax from the total price before we process your card payment. Shipping charges will also be amended. We will email you an invoice in PDF format before we charge your card.

 

Orders from VAT exempt research organisations in the UK.
Some UK based research organisations are able to obtain certain goods VAT free on issue of an exemption certificate.
We have however been advised by the VAT authorities that paper tape measures do not qualifiy for such VAT exempt supply.
